The Key To The Perfect Matte Lip

If you hadn't noticed, matte lips are super popular right now.  Everyone is on a quest for the perfect matte lip colors.  However, those lipsticks can be very drying to your lips and leave your lips looking....well, crusty and just plain ugh.  I've tried several that left my lips looking that way and I almost gave up on them BUT I'm glad I didn't.  I'm going to share with you a MAJOR key to helping you achieve the perfect matte lip.

So what is that MAJOR key, you may be asking?!  It's, EXFOLIATING!  Exfoliating just means removing dead, dry skin.  You may have heard of exfoliating but never really realized just how important it is to helping you achieve the perfect matte lip that you see so many other women wear.

Not only will it help you to achieve the perfect matte lip, it will also help you to prevent painful, cracked lips that the winter air sometimes causes.  Keeping your lips exfoliated and moisturized will make your lips so much happier this coming fall and winter and not to mention whoever you may be kissing will be much happier as well hehe.

Exfoliating is SO quick and easy.  Here are just two of the MANY ways you can keep your lips kissable and also perfect for those fall matte lip colors.

1.)  e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator

-I have this lip exfoliator and I LOVE it!  It comes in a tube like lipstick which makes it really easy to apply.  It's also very affordable.

2.)  DIY Lip Scrub

-If you don't want to buy a lip exfoliator, you can make your own using just THREE ingredients found in your home!  I've made a video just for you showing how to easily make and apply the lip scrub.

You can exfoliate as often as your lips can tolerate.  Be sure not to scrub too hard or exfoliate too often.  Both can leave your lips painful and raw and you don't want that.  Let me know how exfoliating works for you!

Now go enjoy those smooth lips and throw on a fab matte lip color!

And always remember,

Whether heels or sneakers, or anything in between, there's JOY in every SOLE!

Love, peace, and sole!
