Also, leave your book suggestions below in the comments!  Doesn't matter the genre.  If it's a good book, share it with the rest of us.  Help a sole sista out!

.)  Heavenly Places by Kim Cash Tate- This was the first book I read by Kim Cash Tate and I absolutely fell in love with this book and with her writing.  This book and the next few books I will mention by her are African American Christian fiction novels.  You will be immediately drawn into the story and won't be able to put the book down.

.)  Faithful by Kim Cash Tate- Another great fiction novel to get quickly drawn into.  The story is centered around three life-long friends facing different obstacles in life.  You'll find love, romance, infidelity, and more as well as a great encouraging message/theme throughout the book.  The characters are so relatable that you'll see yourself or someone else you know in one of them.

.)  Cherished by Kim Cash Tate-  In this fiction novel, the story centers around two young women who have experienced hurt, pain, and guilt from decisions made in their past such as abortion and adultery.  You'll also see these young ladies experience forgiveness, redemption, restoration, and hope.  You'll find some of the characters from Faithful in this novel as well.  So, you may want to read Faithful first.

.)  Hope Springs by Kim Cash Tate-  This novel follows Faithful and Cherished where you'll see some of the same characters surface.  So, I recommend reading those first.  This one centers around three characters brought together by tragedy.  You'll find family, faith, forgiveness, and healing.  It's another great read with a great message!

.)  God Is Able by Priscilla Shirer- I read this book at the beginning of the year and it really blessed me.  It is based on the scripture Ephesians 3:20 which tells us that God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or think.  If you want to be uplifted and feel like that seemingly impossible situation is now possible all because God is able, then you need to read this!  It. will. bless. you!  Trust me!

.)  Watch Your Mouth by Tony Evans-  I have been going through this book with my small group at church and it has convicted me all over the place!  This book will get you all the way tagetha!  In this book, Tony Evans shows you the power of your words and how your words can either speak life or speak death.  Let me just say, you NEED to read this book!  It also doesn't hurt that it's an easy, quick read.

.)  Kingdom Woman by Tony Evans and Chrystal Evans Hurst-  This is a great read for any woman looking to understand who they are as a woman in Christ.  This book will empower you to understand your purpose and worth all while using life experiences that many of us can relate to.

.)  Prayer by Timothy Keller-  This book will help you grow deeper in your prayer life and also to understand prayer and the power of prayer.  Just a warning, this book is deep yet rich with lots of information.  It may take you the entire summer to read but it's worth it.

.)  Grace by Max Lucado- I've mentioned this book before.  I read this a few years ago and it really helped me to have a better understanding of grace.  It made me realize how it's important to not only show grace to others but to show grace to myself and also to accept God's grace.  It's a really good and easy read.

.)  The 5 Love Languages by Gary D. Chapman- This book will help you understand how you give and receive love by categorizing love into 5 different areas.  We don't all love the same way.  Gary Chapman breaks love down in a way that's truly eye opening.  After reading this, you'll have a better understanding of yourself, your friends, family, and even coworkers.  This book will also really help in your marriage or relationship with your significant other.

.)  Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend-  Boundaries are essential in life and they are super essential in the relationships with others.  This book helps you to understand how to say no and when to say yes.  It helps you to realize that having boundaries does not make you a mean person.  You'll learn having emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental boundaries are necessary.

.)  Boundaries in Dating by Henry Cloud and John Townsend-  Dating can be tough.  This book helps you to set boundaries so that you make healthy choices that produce healthy dating relationships.

.)  Things I Wish I'd Known Before We Got Married by Gary D. Chapman- If you are in a serious dating relationship, engaged, or single and wanting to get married one day, I recommend you read this book.  It gives really great perspectives on marriage and on things to consider and think about before marriage.  If you're in a relationship, you should read it as a couple and discuss it.  Reading the book together will definitely make for good conversation.

.)  The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller- This is another really good book for those who are already married, are in a serious relationship, or those who desire marriage.  Though, those of you who are not married or feel like you need to be married will also benefit from reading this book.  Timothy Keller really digs deep into what marriage is all about.  You will definitely end this book with a new and deeper perspective of marriage.

.)  The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey-  My family, some of my friends, and even some of my former co-workers have fallen victim to my declarations of how great this book and the teachings of Dave Ramsey are.  My Dad even calls me Dave's Disciple haha.  Basically, if you want to have financial freedom, live a debt free life, and build wealth for generations to come, Read. This. Book!  He helps you with a plan to pay off debt like student loans, credit cards, etc. build an emergency fund, save for children's college, and build wealth.  This is definitely worth reading!
