How To Wear An Off The Shoulder Top With Sneakers

So, let me tell you about these Nike Uptempo aka Scottie Pippen shoes from my childhood that I just died to have.  A few months ago, my husband came to me with his phone saying, "Look, those Scottie Pippens are out again.  I want some."  So, me, being a sneaker girl automatically said, "I want some too!"

Growing up in a household with three other siblings didn't always afford me the opportunity to own the newest, coolest sneaker out.  So, of course as a kid, I never owned a pair of Jordan's and neither did I own these super dope Uptempos.  BUT, now that I'm grown and got my own (can I get an Amen!?), I was able to afford a pair and so I purchased them.

I got home, looked at the shoes, and thought, what in the world am I going to wear with these big, bulky shoes!?  They sat in my closet for awhile until I had, what I like to call, a "vision" for what to wear them with.   So, here's the vision that came to me:

I chose to pair the Nike Uptempo shoes with the ever so popular off the shoulder top to soften up and feminize these bulky "boat" shoes.  I also found these AMAZING distressed white jeans to pair with the top and sneakers.

Tip: If you want to make this look more fall or if you're one of those "no white after Labor Day" people, choose a darker denim or even a colored denim like red.

Let me know what you think!  Would you slam this outfit or jam it!?

Whether heels or sneakers, or anything in between, there's JOY in every SOLE!

Love, peace, and sole!
