No Competition Just Motivation

For today's post I teamed up with Kandice Guice of  She's an awesome blogger that truly aims to inspire, encourage, and uplift women.  A few weeks ago, she reached out to me and a few other fashionistas to get our spin on styling some of her t-shirts that display positive messages for a Fashion Face Off.

One of the messages that stood out to me from her t-shirt collection was the "No competition just motivation" message.  This message spoke volumes to me as a woman because society loves to see us as women compete with one another.  Not only does society want us to compete with one another, but also tear down one another while we fight our way to the top.  So we can either give into that competitive spirit and become mean and hateful, or recognize the greatness in each other and let it motivate us to be better.

With that said, let's get into how I styled this "No competition just motivation" tee and I'll also share with you how the other girls styled their shirts as well.

I chose to pair the t-shirt with, I guess you can call it, a cardigan.  I found it at a Bloomingdale's outlet and I had no idea how I would wear it.  However, when I was thinking of how I can style this t-shirt, the idea to wear this cardigan came to mind.

To complete the look, I added a pair of black jeans and Adidas with a gold metallic toe.

To accessorize, I added a layered gold necklace from Anarchy Street.  I love love love this layered necklace!
